New Year’s Resolution
Yo! Coach Paul here, and I wanted to stop by to talk about a topic that goes on every single New Year's Day.... your New Year's resolution. Have you ever found that every time you create a new year's resolution; It's exciting for about the first two or three weeks, then all of a sudden, it just kind of dwindles down because the excitement, the pizzazz, the Big Bang has kind of just went away?
I've been there too, my friend. So how do we overcome these things? And how do we start a new us for a New Year?
Number one is the mindset; the mindset must be in a place where your objective is not about New Year’s Day or the hype of something new. It's about where and who you want to become. You will never get where you want to go if you do not understand who you are, and who you want to become in the process.
Did I learn all of this overnight? Absolutely not! One tool that helped me in so many ways was a book called, "Atomic Habits" by James Clear.... (it's also on audible) and it totally revolutionized my life. Go and check it out for yourself. Now, back to the topic...
So, what does that mean for you right now?
Do you want to live a healthy lifestyle? Instead of saying, I want to be healthy, you must start working out that lifestyle of I am healthy and I'm eating healthy every day.
One of the major problems in a New Year's resolution, or a new year start, whatever you want to call it, is that usually the lifestyle and the mindset, never changes. This makes the process take way too long to get the desired results that you are searching for. So, how do you do change the results quicker? How do we overcome these obstacles? Number one? Like I said in the beginning, it's your mindset.
